  1. There already is a competition for starcraft broodwar so the implemtation part my advisor has suggested i wait untill i take the Artificial Intelligence course at my college. So i wont be touching that at all. Right now i just want to learn various ways variuos skill levels play the game. Then i will be going through all the data with tools finding out what is good and what is bad. Then eventualy ill program an AI system that is viable for more then just one skill level or adapts to your skill level.

    Hello

So i havnt posted here in a while and sorry about my last post -.- anyway I wanted some help with research that i am doing, i am trying to develop better AI for RTS games. In other words im trying to make a computer opponent that thinks and plays at a high skill level and develops its own strategies. In order to do this i need information on various strategies already out there ( ill do my own research and find some myself) but im specifically looking for those strategies that are unique or varations to a viral strategy that is not unique. i want to know the thought process behind it and how you time your attacks if you have timing at all. Tell me the maps you play them on and against the races you play them. Your competitive reccord (tournaments and organized leagues) win/lose. Your non-competitive reccord (everything else) win/lose. *if sc2 the league you compete in.* Build order's and placement. (specifically a unique build order or placement something i cant find through research) finally. Your ideal unit composition times when you vary from it and reasons for that. Please take the time to fill out this information or most of it as you can and email me your bio at pmmurphy10@students.desu.edu Your email titale should look something like this. Wc3 BIO: DoobyLee(OD) wc3 being your game. and DoobyLee(OD) being your gamertag you play as. I started a forum that will orient and organize all the research i do in this department (i JUST started it) so if your interested in following the stats we come up with and various techniques and how people play the various games we study please go ahead and register and check it out. http://z13.invisionfree.com/RTS_AI_Research/index.php?act=idx

  4. play family fued with them. But yea basically some of the joke ones are fine because it adds some humor to things but some of them i had to delete. anyway ive given up on trying to get 100 people the old fashioned way im writing a program that will generate the stats for me using what i have now.
  5. yea i had to delete those answers from my survey. Cant really talk about masturbation in a classroom environment.
  6. worst response to my survey yet is some person most likely a guy of the age 12 - 17 put in there for every answer "jerking off" and he put down he was a female of age 6. Oh and the questions that ask what not to do he put not jerking off. If its a female, id be very surprised. But yea.
  7. when i wake up tomorrow ill post some of the answers iv e recieved so far. Im getting quite a bit of smartass answers and some dumbass ones too
  8. Please take my surveys its for a presentation at school. I dont need serious answers just ones that are Rated-G. There is only 8 questions and they are all based off opinions so you cant be wrong. I will most likely compose more surveys because i will be playing family feud for the class and need to succumb at least 15 minutes of the class period. Thanks http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HBK7QFP
  9. i agree with tris's post and also id say being shy isnt a bad thing. If your shy, be shy. No harm no foul. If a girl wont talk to you or take you seriously all because your shy then most likely thats a good thing
  10. just being lazy xxoo it also means ur not using black since i guessed all 4 colors correctly Brown Red Red Yellow Correct Sequence! lol But it seems like you just kinda played with colors, im going to make this much more challenging then 5 colors. Thats just too simple. oooo next sequence _ _ _ _ (colors: red, yellow, blue, black, green, purple, pink, brown)
  11. yea not alone here silent. but i bet getting over shyness is just something you overcome through trial and error. The more you attempt the less shy you become. Id get into details but i dont feel like busting out a psychology book.
  12. ok so i played a few games of mastermind on the online game i google'd and got a few screenshots of the outcomes and how i got the answers. basically its the same thing the only difference is they use 8 colors and instead of x's and o's you get a white dot = right color wrong spot, and a red dot = right color right spot. My steps are in order from bottom going towards top. In all of these games i was able to finish in 7 guesses. One was luck though i will say. Im not sure if im capable of uploading images straight to posts so i will just give you the URL links instead. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=6gctc6&s=5 http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=35ajd7a&s=5 I honestly dont wanna give away the process but if your curious at all go ahead and ask via pm and ill tell you how it works. But considered the publicity this thread has been getting i honestly doubt anyone will. It might just be me and Ezah going at it o_o
  13. Ok i want help making this question im gonna put only one in it. Its going to be a very very descriptive and long word problem. But the actual question has absoultely nothing to do with what its actually describing.
