  1. This is the whole reason I made the thread, and yet this still turned into a conversation on whether or not someone dropping -15 or -20 is in the right. I hesitate to comment but I have to reiterate since this is a General Discussion thread. Please talk to your members about the voting system leadership. This should be a concerted effort to curb that kind of behavior prevalent on previous promotions.

  2. Back, 2 months ago, I have proposed that we should have a "Know Your Leadership/Administration " page on the website and on the Discord server as a text channel at the top by the rules. The idea was met with positive reception but we should discuss about what should be included and it will ultimately be up for vote during the next administration meeting I believe. Since the new website is in development, We will obviously need to wait until development is either finished or in the later stages in order to add the page if everyone is on board for this idea. 3. 6/4/21 Modified Roles: All roles from 4* General-Enlisted have had the ability to post/create invites. Channel Edit: Permissions for 4* General - Enlisted have been given the ability to create invites for The Rules channel and only this channel. 4. I really honestly did not want to address this topic any further because we've already beaten this horse to death, buried, dug it up, stripped it for meat, re-buried the bones, and had a séance. But as my -15 on the recent promotion of @PureSkoomaOD keeps getting mentioned in passing in this posts. I'll go ahead and address this. --- Skooma, your concept you propose here is not exactly new. We've had people propose this idea in concept several times in the past and it always gets shot down. I don't recall the specifics of those posts. But they obviously did

While, it takes 3 reasons to positive vote someone. Why don't we increase minimum requirements of the reasons on why we are negative voting somebody? If it really matters to someone that they are dropping their full weight on someone, I think they should have more then 1 reason. i see that some are arguing against the negative voting due to people only giving 1 reason while the person being promoted has done

  6. Right. But skooma is proposing a living document that’s updated as our leadership does. Which that section you posted is not.

  7. I agree. I wonder if we even change the amount you can put towards neg votes if it could possibly change the narrative of "oh they are throwing their entire weight behind something to stop my friend from getting a well deserved promotion." to the true intention of providing direct feedback. If we give people the amount of -1 for example. They can still provide feedback. But like mentioned previously if majority doesn't think you should get promoted you will have enough -1 that you won't pass. However in the case for Officer promotions where you already need quite a f
