Thank you, Pops, for those kind words of support. I still find it difficult to compare myself to our current (and past) pool of Commanders, but then I remember that they each have their own personalities, their own contributions, and their own time / efforts poured into this community, and I know that I share at least one major commonality with them: We all do it for love of the community and its members, and want to see it flourish and constantly improve. It is that driving force that propels us to prioritize the core values and health of the community as a whole, in everything we do for it.

People do not just jump into working on things when they return, they need time to see what has changed and what they need to work on.. time to get reacquainted if you will. ty for the tough questions JD, To answer the first one ; What I think I bring to the team that is unique is my empathy and understanding of our members, and a ability to listen to them with an open mind and open heart, even in things that have nothing to do with OD, it makes me approachable in a way that is different from the other commanders. I have seen situations where someone I have helped brings someone else to me who needs help and so on. It has never bothered me to be a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, or giving someone advice be that clan or real life, even offering

Hi Raged since I am a newly returning member while I have not been around for your accomplishments I would love to provide more in depth responses but I will just stick to a few questions. You mentioned wanting to find new ways to retain members that have DSL'd out. Could you please elaborate on any ideas you have so far? Or is this a newer goal? I think what you have done with Halo and WoW is awesome. You really have shown what you can do as a leader. You mention that you mentored a couple people. Could you also elaborate on what you've done to mentor them

I have watched you come up through the ranks, learn to be an officer and start a division, ive tried to be there when you need guidance or clarification, I have seen you grow so much in the time you have been with OD, I appreciate the support. Comp, You talked about your time you dedicated with R.ag learning code to help update a small portion of the website. I'm interested if you will be joining the web dev team as an member that assist in that regard going forward. Or was this more of a one time thing to fix/update something that was particularly bothering you? --- As a Commander you will be charged with the task of not just mentoring new leaders to help lead OD into the future. But be at the helm with your fellow commanders trying to make the best choices to keep the ship afloat. C

Hi comp....I may not have always agreed with all the decisions you make, however you are one of my go to generals whenever Im seeking another opinion or guidance..The amount of work and time you dedicate to OD has really helped to improve things on the back end...Years ago when tera was being evaluated for commander, i said pretty much that she was already performing commander level duties. I will honestly say the same thing here about you....you really are just a logical choice for the next commander...i happily support your promotion....thank you comp, for your service to OD

The short answer is no...there was no communication about a possible eval prior to me being nominated. That being said, I am not trying to shift blame from my inactivity. I mean i know there were topics....evals and discussions that needed my attention, however as ive already stated, they kinda slipped away from me and i lost track of them. The group of generals has changed a lot since i came up. some left, new ones joined...and the number of generals has also increased.
